Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that Noida International Airport is likely to be inaugurated this month, signalling a major development in India’s aviation infrastructure. The airport, formally known as Jewar Airport, has been under construction as part of a broader effort to expand air travel capacity in northern India and reduce pressure on existing metropolitan hubs.
The new airport is envisioned as a full-service international gateway designed to handle both passenger and cargo traffic at a scale well beyond what current regional airports offer.
